Minimum liability insurance required in Wyoming: (20/50/20)

$20,000 for each person for bodily injury
$50,000 for bodily injury per accident
$20,000 for property damage per accident

In Wyoming, as in most other states in America, you are required to have minimum liability insurance (that remains in continuous coverage) in order to operate a motor vehicle. You’ll need to provide this proof of coverage when you register your car.

Proof of Insurance

You’re advised to carry a proof of insurance in your vehicle at all times. Proof of financial responsibility must be shown if a law enforcement officer stops you and asks for it.

Adequacy of Coverage

25/50/20 is the minimum requirement for auto insurance in Wyoming. Yet this may not be sufficient coverage to properly take care of damage, injury, or valuable assets. You are advised to carry sufficient insurance to take care of possible financial loss in the event of an automobile accident.

We also suggest getting quotes from multiple companies to ensure you get the best rate. There is no obligation to purchase from any particular insurance companies from whom you’ll obtain quotes.
